Amy Dawn Helm was born on November 1, 1971, in Kansas City, Missouri to Brenda Sue Jeffries and James (Jim) A Helm. The Helm family moved to Texas in 1982. Amy attended La Porte High School and continued her education at San Jacinto College. She worked in the chemical industry, earning many certificates in safety training. Her strong work ethic helped her achieve the position of a Confined Space Supervisor & Safety Specialist. Amy's greatest joy in life was being a mom to her son Nicholas. He will be forever grateful for her love and guidance. She poured her unending energy into her many interests. She had a talent for decorating, organizing and keeping a very tidy home. She enjoyed gardening and growing Plumeria, Hibiscus, Azaleas, Roses and many other plants. She loved the many animals she had over the years. Her happy place was on the water, in lakes and on the bay. She enjoyed taking her wave runner out in the morning and returning home in time to clean up and make dinner. She always enjoyed exploring new places and going on mini adventures. During her down time, she could be found watching Football or Nascar, with a plate of hand sliced mild cheddar and crackers with a 'lil bit of Tabasco.
Amy is survived by her parents, Brenda and James Helm; her son Nicholas D Warford and his father Gerald D Warford; her brother Jerimy: nephews Matthew and Zachariah; aunts Sharon, Deana, Lissa, and Deborah; uncles Jerry and Jeff; and grandfather Gail.
