Anita Dianne (Mace) Shullaw was born December 1, 1951, in Ottumwa, Iowa to Margaret and Edwin Mace. She grew up with her siblings in Ottumwa until the fateful day she met Raymond Leon Shullaw. They were united in marriage on January 10, 1969 in Ottumwa. The couple made a move to Texas in the early 80's for a job opportunity. They started their lives welcoming children, Lisa, Sherri, and Christopher. Aside from being a wonderful wife and mother, Anita was a property manager for over 30 years. As she and Raymond continued, Anita became a caretaker to her husband and lovingly cared for him until his death in 2013. She took great joy in welcoming her grandchildren. She loved them all so much; children, grandchildren and her dogs. At the age of 71, and life full of love, she passed peacefully in the arm of her daughter, Sherri.
Anita is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Raymond, daughter Lisa, siblings Donald and Richard (Dick) Jones and family dog Casey Lynn.
She will be missed dearly by her children, Sherri and husband Doug Ditrich and Christopher and wife Dawn Shullaw. She also leaves 2 siblings, Mark Mace and Shirley Celania. Her legacy will live on with her grandchildren, Holly and husband Jalen Jackson, Tyler Smith, Jessica and husband Ricky Rivas, DJ Ditrich, Kolton Ditrich, Josh and Emily Shullaw, Ryan Walker, and Austin Walker. Her life was rich because of friends like Norman and Judy Ditrich, Linda and Perry McPherson, Torres Family, McKinney Family, and Stagg Family. Besides her loving family, Anita found no greater happiness than the time she spent with all her animals; Fletch, Romeo, Lily, Sam, and Aero. She always said that the pets could see right to her soul with their little cute eyes.
Anita (Granny / Ne-Ne) will be laid to rest at Brookside Memorial Park. This loving, devoted and faithful woman will now be made new in God's Holy Kingdom.
