Brenda Gay (Parish) Thedford was born on August 3, 1955 in Corpus Christi, Texas to Katherine and Frank Parish. At the age of three the family moved to Houston and they settled in. Brenda grew up with her siblings, Wesley, Cindy, Ronald and Barbara. Brenda was an honor student at Furr High School. Brenda met Keith Thedford in 1977 in the workplace and in 1978, they were wed. Aside from being wife and mother, Brenda was an avid reader. She also loved the game of baseball. So much so she even named the family dog, Astro after her beloved team the Houston Astro's. Brenda was also a big Elvis fan. Together Keith and Brenda raised two daughters, Jennifer and Emily. Brenda returned to the Lord on January 24, 2024 in her home with Keith at her side. She is preceded in death by her parents, Frank (12/29/92) and Katherine (6/7/14), her siblings, Barbara Parish (11/7/74) and Ronald Parish (1/7/65). She will once again be reunited with her daughter, Emily (3/20/2009) Brenda is survived by her husband of 46 years, Keith, her daughter Jennifer, her siblings Wesley Parish and Cindy Kennemer, her French Bulldog, Astro and a host of extended family and friends. A celebration of her life will be held on February 8, 2024, at Christ Redeemer Lutheran Church, 8909 Spencer Hwy, La Porte, TX 77571. The service will begin at 1:00PM.
