Burnette "Bonnie" Jean Nutall - Bland was born November 11, 1951 in Chicago, IL to Morse Smith and Katherine Maria Porter. She grew up in Chicago and started her family life there. She and husband, Robert moved the family to Texas and she has been here ever since enjoying the company of family and friends. Not only has she raised 7 beautiful children but has been a great support for the grandchildren. Bonnie enjoyed working at the Dairy Queen in La Porte for Patricia Healy for 8 years. She was an avid pool player and loved spending time with everyone around her. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband; Robert Bland, brothers; Harvey and Kenneth Smith and granddaughter Jasmine Nicole Sam She is survived by her children; Yolanda L. Brown, Dionne Nutall, Mickie Nutall, Nels Nutall Jr. and Kimberly Nutall. Bonnie also leaves her sisters; Paulette Grayson-Harwell, Margaret Diamond and Patricia Smith. She has been blessed with grandchildren; Desiree, Joshua, Deshae, Johnathan, Ashley, Metrick, Sophie, Gregory Jr., Maquel, Maichel, Kaleel, Marquis, Deon, Malik and Arthur Jr and great grandchildren; Danae, Christopher, Tori, Aaliyah, Armani, Adan and Carter. Her great friends; Tammy Griffin, Tina, Ben Branch, Mary Lou, Bea, Pat, Kellie Marie and Laura as well many others who will miss her beautiful strong soul. A memorial service will be celebrated at Stepping Stone Funeral Home, 215 S. Broadway St., La Porte, TX 77571, 281-867-9333 on Thursday, July 24, 2014 at 10 AM.
