Carolyn Jo Robinson Ethridge was born to Aaron & Rosa Lee Bogany, (who has preceded Carolyn in death) on October 10, 1946. She graduated from Phillis Wheatley High School. Later, she attended Texas Southern University. In 1979, she married Wilbert Allen Ethridge and to this union Rosalyn McCoy and Alan Ethridge were born. Carolyn and Wilbert had a happy marriage and loved to travel. Later, Wilbert Allen Ethridge preceded her in death on April 21, 2009. Suddenly, her daughter Rosalyn (Bay-Bay) preceded her in death May 11, 2012. Carolyn worked for several companies. She spent her years working for the city of Houston for twenty-two years, before retiring three years ago in 2016. Carolyn came to know Christ at a early age.She attended Mount Corinth Missionary Baptist Church where her mother and father were active members. Carolyn eventually attended Fellowship of Purpose Church under direction of Pastor Byron Murray. Carolyn leaves to cherish her memories, 3 sons Alan Robinson, Wilbert Ethridge JR. (Carey), Phillip Ethridge (Shitan), two daughters Debra Turner (Terry) and Diane Ethridge, and grandchildren Manuel Ethridge, Evander Foreman, and Destin Ethridge, Terry Sanders (Melvin), Tina Booker, Chrishelle Ethridge, Donald Phillips, Jessica Ethridge, twenty-nine great-grandchildren, host of nephews and nieces, JoAnn, Regina, Bridgette, and Rita.
