God has her in His keeping, we have her in our hearts. In loving remembrance ofCheryl Efella Gay (Dump) 65 passed away on Friday November 15, 2024. Cheryl wasborn August 29, 1959, to the late Deotis Gay, Sr and Mary Gibson Gay. Cheryl wasraised and lived in La Porte Texas for most of her life. She attended La Ports Schools. She joined Zion Hill Baptist Church and was baptized at an early age and remained untilher death. Cheryl later moved to Houston Texas and lived there until her death. Cheryl had an overflow of love for her children, grandchildren, mother, brother, familyand friends. One of her loves was cooking. Cheryl continued coming to church in LaPorte on Sundays spending the afternoon with her 91-year-old mother, family andfriends bringing the dinner. Cheryl worked for ARAMARK Food Services for over 20 years, for the University ofHouston, the Astro games, Nutcracker and other food services. Cheryl leaves to cherish her memories four children, Reginald Gay, Sr. (Tiffany), PeterChristten (Sheree) Raymond Hunt and Natalia Hunt. Grandchildren, Deion Christten,Derion Christten, Deshawn Christten, 6 months old twins Natalia and Olivia Frias, greatgrandson Zaydan Christten. Her mother Mary Gay, brothers Deotis Gay, Jr. (Carla) andAnthony Gay. Uncles Nolan Jones and Ronnie Purify (Brenda). Her godmother LolaPhilips (Mama Lola), God brother Derrick Green and God sisters Sonya NelsonGiddings and Precious Walker. Cousins Eric Gay, Dominique Gay, June Gay, Dave Gay,Brenda Jerell and Donayln Allen. Friends Jessel Crew, Gay Collins, Rachel Carter,Rose McNeal, Faye Brown, and Leslie (Baby) Davis and many other family membersand friends.
