Jack Gordon Davis was born April 3, 1933 in Celina, Texas to Martha and Earl Davis. He grew up in Celina with his siblings, Dorthy, James, Kenneth, Tommy and Mary. He eventually made his way to La Porte. Although he started out with carpet installation, he moved into a position in a plant and was a pipefitter most of his life. Jack met and married Ola Sexton on November 25, 1955 and together they raised four children, Debra, Billy, Helen and Richard. Jack loved to cook and enjoyed laying out a great meal. He was an avid coin collector, always looking for unusual pieces. Although he would never boast, he did enjoy his collection of over 100 watches. Jack was a loving family man and very much enjoyed being with all the "grands". Jack returned to the Lord on Wednesday, December 23, 2020. He will be laid to rest next to Ola, together again. Jack is preceded by his wife, Ola Davis and son, Richard Davis, his brothers, James Davis, Kenneth Davis and Tommy Davis. He is survived by his children, Debra Hubert and husband Terry, Billy Davis, Helen Rodgers and husband David; his sisters, Dorthy and Mary Smith (husband, Smitty). He also leaves to cherish his memory six grandchildren, Jack, Brandy, Shawn, Billy, Kara (husband Chad), Taylor (husband Mike); ten great-grandchildren, Brandon, Cody, Terry Haley, Logan, Cade, Rhett, Allison, Kyle and Chris and eight great-great grandchildren, Lilly, Lane, KayLynn, Brealee, Gemmah, Emily, Trinity and Jaxon. There are also many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends that will miss him dearly.
