Jerry Charles "Chuck" Gardner, a master carpenter, born 02/27/1947 in Minden, LA, Chuck passed on April 1, 2018 at his home in Shoreacres, TX, at the age of 71. He had lived in this community for 20 years. Mr. Gardner was a member of the Gulf Coast Cape Dory Sailboat Fleet Association. He had served his nation in the US Army as a Medical Corpsman. He is preceded in death by his parents; father, William Carl Gardner; mother, Jane Porter and step-father, John G. Porter. Also preceded in death by his brother, William Wray Gardner. He is survived by his wife Grace Gardner , his son Kevin Dempsey and his wife Melinda Dempsey; Brian Quintinsky and his wife Julie Quintinsky; Kim Thurman, her husband Curtis Thurman; Jennifer Quintinsky; His sisters; Susan Hillman and Kathryn Cooke and his six grandchildren.
