Mary Jean (Davis) Doughty was born March 13, 1965 in Galveston, Texas to Arthur and Mary Davis. The family moved to La Porte, TX when Mary was 3. She attended school in La Porte and graduated in 1982. Mary worked as a CNA but her children were her whole life. She met Kerry Johnson and married in 1988. Together they had three daughters. Unfortunately a divorce happened in 1996. Mary started dating Spencer Doughty in 1998 and they married in February of 2000. They live in Pasadena, Deer Park and La Porte until her Spencer's passing (2022). She then moved to Baytown, TX until her passing in May. Mary loved helping people. If she considered you as family or friends there's nothing she wouldn't do for you. She loved playing soccer when she was younger and was good at it. She loved being a CNA taking care of people when nobody else would. It gave her so much joy because they knew they were loved. Her siblings are her back bone. Her nieces and nephews were her babies before she had babies and she was always smiling and laughing, Her favorite things were dancing, cooking and singing at the top of her lungs with her beautiful voice. Mary is proceeded by her parents, her Husband, Spencer and siblings, Lue Ella Davis , Nezzie Fae Parker, May Doughty, Betty Davis, and Calvin Davis.She is survived by her daughters, Katrina Johnson (Jaece), Shawnta Johnson (Jennetta), Shakera Whitfield (Wesley), Mother and Father in Law, Ella Doughty Javers and Morris Javers and a whole a lot of nieces and nephews, and her friend, Anna Rivers. She also leaves her grandchildren, La'Mar King Whitfield, Braelynn Neveah Mitchell, Kairi Zulay Whitfield and her remaining siblings, Rose Davis, Arthur Davis Jr, Alvin Davis, Jannette Erskine, Annette Davis, and many other extended family and friends.
