Michael Scott Madison (Spanky) was born December 22, 1966 to Elizabeth Alice (Betty) and William Edward Madison (Bill) in Houston, Texas. He attended Sam Rayburn High School and then continued his education with the University of Hard Knocks. It helped prepare him for the work in data andtelecommunications as a contractor.
Mike was a kind-hearted free spirit who brightened the lives of everyone who knew him. While music was his first love, riding motorcycles was a close second. He loved everyone and they all loved him back. He brought joy and love to so many through his music. The song he wrote "Do you know Jesus?" continues to transform lives. Mike was a contestant on La Porte Idol achieving 3rd place and will be remembered for Sunday Jam at The Moon.
Mike left us surrounded by family and friends at home on January 3, 2024. He left just far too soon and he will be greatly missed. He wanted us to "Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave us." Eph 4:32
Mike is preceded by his parents, Betty and Bill and his step-dad Grady Dunson. He will be reunited with Scooby and Scrappie.
Mike is survived by his spouse, Monica Madison; sons, Michael Madison II, Cayden Madison, step-sons, Charles Havard and Joseph Havard; granddaughter Bella Madison; siblings, Darlene and husband Richard Dickerson, Deborah Marler Madison, Jackie Carr, Tracy Madison and Chris Madison. Michael found solace in the art of music. He was in various bands throughout his life and could often be found at The Moon singing Karaoke with passion and soul or strumming the strings of his guitar.
Michael's wit and humor consistently brought smiles to the faces of those around him. As we bid farewell to Michael Scott Madison, let us remember the laughter, the music and the enduring kindness that defined his journey. May his soul rest in eternal peace.
