Perry "Butch" Nelson Wyatt, Jr. was born January 27, 1945 in Hobart, Oklahoma. Perry was a rugged, strong man with a heart of gold and a generous loving nature. Always good for a laugh, a word of encouragement or advice. He and Nikki have lived in a half a dozen states, moving initially from Oklahoma to Ohio, down the coast to Jacksonville Florida; taking a right turn and heading to Texas (as fast as they could). They settled in the Houston area and have enjoyed raising three children together, working and supporting each other along with their other past-times - from Scuba diving, to archery to their favorite gun range.
Perry worked as an Instrumentation and Electrical Technician, travelling all over the US and Puerto Rico on Jobs. During their time in West Columbia Texas, Perry served as a Reserve Police Officer. Perry and Nikki owned and operated the Gun Sports & Blades shop in La Porte.
Perry is preceded by his parents, Perry and Betty Jean (Marler) Wyatt and his brother Henry "Hank" Hiram Wyatt.
He is survived by his wife, Nikki. Children: Randy S. Wyatt, Tammy Gardiner and husband Douglas and Shella Shook and husband Michael. He also has 3 grandchildren; Aaron Walker, Sable Beale and Shawnee Wyatt, his sister-in-law Jan Wyatt, nephews John and Joseph Wyatt and a host of extended family and friends that will miss him.
The family will receive visitors on Saturday, March 15, 2014 from 1PM to 2PM. Services will follow the visitation at 2PM at Stepping Stone Funeral Home, 215 S. Broadway, La Porte, TX 77571 281-867-9333
