Sharon Kaye (McKelvey) Gray-Wade was born July 26, 1962 in Houston Texas to parents Madeline Marshall and John McKelvey. Sharon didn't venture far and lived in the Houston area all her life. She was raised by her "adopted" parents, Velma and Frank Celestine. After graduating from Kashmere High School, Sharon decided she liked the school environment and worked for HISD and then for nursing homes in Food Service.Sharon met Michael Gray and married in 1983. They settled down and started a family. Along came their children; Michael and then DyNisha. Sharon loved to shop and was always well dressed. She loved her family and was a dedicated mother.
Later in life Sharon was married to Hugh Wade (2002). Several years ago Sharon suffered a stroke and moved to Liberty Health Care center. Like so many now, Sharon was exposed and then passed from Covid.Sharon is preceded by her grandmother, Cora Jones, and siblings, Kenneth Marshall, Carla Marshall Beverly and Carol Marshall.
Sharon is survived by her husband, Hugh L Wade; children, Michael (and wife Jomeka) Gray and DyNisha Gray. She leaves behind four grandchildren, Kayonna Gray, King Allen, Jasmine Gray and Michael Jarvis Gray. She is also survived by siblings, Goree Marshall Jr, Patricia Marshall Harris, Eddie Marshall, Edna J. Horton, Frank Celestin, Willie Mae Williams, Gwendolyn Celestine, and Princes Reado. There will be stories to tell and memories to share.
