Spencer was born in New Orleans, La. to Ella Doughty Javers and Kenneth Doughty Sr. Spencer was educated in the New Orleans Public School system and later moved to Texas, where he married Mary Doughty, his devoted wife of 22 years. Spencer worked many years as a diesel mechanic in the Houston Ship Channel. He loved boxing, working out and fixing cars in his spare time. He took pride in keeping his yard clean and spending time with his family especially his grandkids. Spencer leaves to cherish his memory, his Mother; Ella Doughty Javers, Step-father; Morris Javers, his wife; Mary Doughty, and five daughters; Shandreka Marie Parker (Frank) , Beverly Neuveaux. Katrina Johnson (T.) , Shawnta Johnson, and Shekera Whitfield( Wesley). One brother; Kenneth Doughty Jr. and seven sisters; Sharon Doughty Sparks, Sheila Doughty Armstrong (Calvin), Darlene Doughty, Katisha Doughty, Comtrice Doughty, Kolongia Doughty and Shemece Doughty. Eight Grandchildren; Indiya Anderson, JaQuail, Antonio-Joshua, Lawrane and London Neuveaux, Lamar King Whitfield, Kairi Zulay Whitfield and Braelynn Nevaeh Mitchell. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Spencer is proceeded in death by his Grandparents, Alec and Queen Ophelia Young, Herman and Irene Doughty.
